Redshank

Description: A little bigger than a thrush, in mating plumage the Redshank present the dominating grey with dense spots from both top and bottom. The bright orange-red legs in any dress remain a distinguishing feature. Grey coloration is characteristic of the bird. When flying, the bright white flickers are visible on the wings, and the white on the back and saddle. Its length is 27-29 cm.

Habitat: Redshanks are small in number, settling in damp meadows, grassy bogs, and flat swamped shores of fresh lakes.
