Herring Gull

Description: In adults, the most significant distinguishing feature is the flesh-colored feet. In the autumnal plumage, both on the head and neck (sometimes in the upper chest too) dark streaks show. The back and wings are ashen grey. The bill is yellow, with a red spot on the lower part. The body length is 56-60 cm.

Habitat: A common bird around lakes and rivers, fewer herring gulls also settle inland, in cities.
