Golden Plover

Description: Bigger than a thrush, the Golden Plover presents golden ripples from top and black (dark ) from bottom, and in between a broad white stripes runs from forehead to undertail; the wings in all plumages are white below, slightly red-brownish only at the tips. The length is 26-29 cm.

Habitat: The bird inhabits various types of tundra and mossy swamps. It avoids grassy areas, tall bush and very old and dry spots with scarce vegetation. The Golden Plover is a rare species.
