Great Black-Backed Gull

Description: Tis gull is one of the largest, weighing up to 1300-2250 gr. The coloration of the plumage is white, with the exception of the slate-black back and blackish wings. There are white spots on the tips of the primary and secondary quills.

Habitat: The Great Black-Backed Gull comes for nesting relatively early: to the Baltic Sea already in March. Ir resides on seashore cliffs, and seldom on lakeshores.
