Bar-Tailed Godwit

Description: A smaller black-tailed godwit, distinguished by the absence of the white stripe on the wings and by the tail covered with white and dark bars and stains. The rufous in the plumage is brighter and thicker, than in the bigger godwit, spreading over the entire under-parts, including uropygium. Its wing length is 19-22 cm, and weight is 195-275 gr.

Habitat: A migratory bird that settles in tundra and wooded-tundra from the northern Scandinavian Peninsula to Chukchi Peninsula to westernAlaska.
