Mute Swan

Description: The main feature is the red beak with the black gnarl on the forehead, and the black base. At distance, both on water and ashore the mute swan can be recognized by the roof-like manner of folding its wings on its back. The bird’s length is 145-160 cm.

Habitat: The most common habitats are shallow lakes with vast reed-beds and thick submergent vegetation.
