Lesser White-Fronted Goose

Description: A smaller copy of the White-Fronted Goose. The reliable distinguishing features may be marked only at close quarters: there is a narrow leathery ring round its eyes. The bird is 53-66 cm long.

Habitat: A rare, transitory-only species. The Lesser White-Fronted Goose under the international convention is categorized as a critically endangered species, and is registered in the Russian Red Book.
