Bog Sedge

Carex limosaIt is perennial sedge 60-120 cm tall with long rootstalks. The flower spikes are 1.5-3 cm long, drooping on thin and long peduncles below the staminate.

It is mainly spread in non-chernozem belt: sphagnous bogs, swamped shores and swing moors in peat water, swamped coniferous woods. It flowers in May-June.
