Mus musculusThe house mouse is also a synanthrope. It inhabits urban and rural houses, warehouses, trade and agricultural facilities, and farms. In the spring, it moves to orchards and gardens. It is omnivorous. The house mice are major pests, as they destroy and spoil food stock. Besides, they propagate tularemia, leptospirosis, many fevers etc. In combatting house mice, the same methods are used as in combatting rats.
