Description: Shaped like any other martin, the Sand Martin has the red-brown back in both genders, with the dingy white belly side, displaying a broad greyish red-brown lateral stripe in the crop and breast. It is smaller than other martins, with its length staying under 140 mm, and mass under 14 gr.
Habitat: Sand martins keep to cliffy banks of various water-bodies – primarily rivers.
