Yellow Water Iris

Iris pseudacorusThis is a perennial species 60-180 cm tall with leaves 15-30 mm broad, and most common of the local irises. It flowers in May-June.

It is widespread in grass swamps, wet meadows and forests, alder woods, and along shores.

This is a decorative plant, with a large number of cultivated subspecies.
